Welcome to Maplewood Career Center’s Adult Education Workforce Development

Over 133,000 square feet, Maplewood Career Center has served the high school and adult
population since 1975. Maplewood Career Center grew in 1996 and 2008 to its current size
of 158,000 square feet, which includes 25 labs, 35 classrooms with the most up-to-date
computers, smart boards, audio/visual equipment, two large conference rooms,
administrative and high school offices.

The Adult Education Department at Maplewood Career Center was created in 1976 running
a variety of classes. Maplewood Career Center is a state-supported organization offering
post-secondary education in the areas of health, manufacturing, technology, and more.
Adult Education programs allow students to: Brush-up on current skills, train for a new
position within current company, or to prepare for a new career.

Our Mission

Maplewood provides individuals with educational experiences that aid in personal growth
and development and the development of career/technical skills leading to graduation,
certification, higher education and/or employment.

Institutional and program assessments are conducted periodically by qualified examiners. The purpose of these assessments is to examine and evaluate compliance of the school’s programs, staff, and faculty with standards set forth in state and federal regulations.
