What helps you learn? (For example, a hands-on activity, reading, taking notes, or reading out loud.)I like working individually with a little background noise and a friend to occasionally talk to. I think just practicing things makes my brain get it. I also need very specific instructions or direct questions. I like when we have fill-in note packets.
What makes learning more difficult for you? (For example, lectures, lots of writing.)I hate taking my own notes and just listening to lessons, especially where things are only said once. i need to do it myself a few times. I also struggle with feeling a little lost when directions are vague or are quickly said and not repeated.
Think of a great teacher you’ve had. Describe what made this teacher so terrific.Waterloo\'s biology teacher Mrs. Allen. She explained things thoroughly and repeated herself when needed. she gave note packets to fill in. She allowed us to quietly talk while we worked. She also just had a generally positive attitude.
What else would you like me to know about you as a learner?I know a lot, it just takes me a moment to buffer sometimes. I make a lot of mistakes when i work too fast, but just te act of doing it and getting it wrong helps me learn.
